Obviously, I'm looking at rims for my 2000 GS400. It's stock ride height, but I may lower it about an inch down the road. The decision I'm trying to make is in the offset. I'm pretty set on the wheel, and staggered 19's. The wheel I'm looking at has these choices:

Front:
19x8.5 with either a +20 or a +38

Rear:
19x9.5 with either a +25 or a +35

I guess I'm not really worried about the +30's offsets, (should I be on the rear?) I'll either run 225 or 235/35/19 front, and 265/30/19 in the rear.

For those that are running the +20's offset, what exactly did you have to modify to make em squeeze in there? Do you think I'll have any issues if I'm not lowered, or when I lower it an inch? I also, don't want to run 3 freaking degrees of neg camber. I like the deep dish look but do you think I'm better off with the +38/35 setup?
How do you think it'd look If I ran the 19x8.5 +38 in the front, and 19x9.5 +25 in the rear?

If don't feel like stretching tires, neg. camber, shaving and rolling fenders, then stick with +38 and +35.

If going with +20 and +25, it probably wouldn't rub at stock height unless you hit big dips and such, but it would look ugly. The reason why some of those agressive offsets look so sick with all that lip is because they are tucked with neg. camber. At stock height, the wheels will just stick out and look like you made a mistake in purchasing your wheels. An inch wouldn't help much either for the look.

I'd lower the car first- especially if you're going to run 235/35-19 + 265/30-19.
Those tires are so short, it'll look silly at stock height.

Also, the more aggressive offsets may almost stick out past the fenders
at stock height. Lowering pulls the wheels inboard.

lowering the car will make a huge difference as far as looks goes.
