How to tell an 17" GS stock OEM vs Replica/remanufactured 17's
How can I tell an original OEM stock 17 vs. an replica or remanufactured 17 like AAARims.
I know that the letters "TOYOTA" is stamped on the inside of the OEM stock wheels. However, what is stamped on the other ones...being a replica would they be bold enough to stamp Toyota on the inside also. I know they have something that resembles a W on the outside of the wheel like the original OEM has.
I hate to buy a used wheel that is a replica or remanufactured one and pay for the price of the OEM.
Also does anyone have just one they want to sell. Need a silver one.
Thanks

Try a wrecking yard
GS's have been around long enough that you can probably find one at a wrecking yard relatively cheap. Then you'll be reasonably sure it's not a replica.
