I had bought a set of 19" SSR Vienna Dish from follow CL member for my 01 LS430 UL(19x9 ET44,19x10 ET49) they fit very tight but well with no rubbing. Tires are brand new Falken FK452 245/40/19 and 275/35/19.I had put about 300 miles on them now, they are @35 psi front and rear and I have LOTS of tire rambling noises, I mean LOTS. I don't konw if my tire pressures are too high, too low, the offset are too high or simply the tires are noisey. Do you guys think I should try other brands of tires? use spacer (10mm) to jack them out a bit? different tire pressure? or maybe the wheels are echoing tire noises?
Any help, input or advice please. Thanks in advance.

how old are the tires?

even Falkens should be "relatively" quiet new...

when worn (even a little) though, they can turn to crap real fast... so long as nothing is rubbing, there is no mechanical interference, I suggest new tires plus an alignment to make sure that your cars alignment doesn't eat the new tires (it may be ok now, but it never hurts to check it)

Thanks for your reply. The tires are brand new bought and I had put about 300 miles on them and are actually less noisey than new now but only by a hair. My wife was saying how the car is more noisey then her ML55! I did alignment and set them to spec when the wheels/tires went on, and the reason I bought FK452 was that everybody said they are relatively good quiet tires. Maybe I should have bought Michelin PS2s. Anybody tried them?

they are "relatively" good and quiet... if you think in terms of price - they are half what a really good, quiet tire costs...

Personally, a set of PS2's would be great, and if quiet is your thing - the Goodyear GS-D3's are built in your sizes as well... One other good alternative is the RE050 - I will be changing to this tire when I wear out the KDW's on my car currently (not because I think they are better, just time for a change)

Thanks again for your replied Mitsuguy. I wonder if CL members would help me out. With so many brands of tires out there maybe you guys would take a little time to "entertain me" with this expierment. Driving at 45MPH windows up stereo off and click the blinker to change lane, can you guys hear the tick-tick sound of the blinker? With 17" Michelin MXV4 70% worn, I can still hear it clearly. With 19" brand new FalkenFK452, I can not hear it at all. Of course the street pavement would be different from city to city, but like I said it's just a small unproven expierment. Hopfully some guys are up to it and it may just help somebody out there to decide on a tire that are quieter than others.
