Need help on shipping wheels
Ok I plan on buying a set of 4 wheels with tires from another member here. He was told by his shop that they would need to dismount the tires and ship the wheels and tires seperately. So that's like 6 or more packages total. There is also a hefty charge for this on top of the shipping costs. Isn't there an easier and cheaper way to ship them?
I was assuming you just had to deflate the tires and wrap them up with plastic wrap and have ups pick them up. Also how much is shipping anyways? I'm thinking $200-250? Any help would be appreciated.

it's quite simple...
cardboard on the face of the wheel, cardboard on the rear, then wrap the whole thing in shipping tape... I've shipped hundreds of wheel/tire packages like this...
It's cheaper, easier, and the wheel is protected - just make sure the cardboard fully covers the face...
