Well.. As I mentioned in another thread, I found out the other day that my tires were effectively crap after 15K miles and in dire need of replacement.. Anyway, after shopping around and seeing what others had to say here about various brands/models of tires, I chose to go with Remington (aka dunlop) Emerald 225/50R17 V series (not the W rating that my stock non-runflat Dunlops had) which I got from a tire shop I've been using for years and respect. I've used Remingtons on my full sized p/u truck and our odyssey van and had no issues over the past several years.. Anyway, these cost <1/2 of the PS2 tires mentioned here and look just fine to me -- so, I was able to swap all 4 tires for well under $500.. We'll see how they behave, but they're quieter than the old (worn-out) dunlops.. Unfortunately I can't afford to plonk down $900 for a set of tires since we're doing a home remodel.. Perhaps next time I'll try out the PS2's or whatever the ultimate tire is in another 15K miles.
