I just got a bit of curb rash on my stock wheels for my 06 IS 250, where can I fix this and how much will it cost me?

drywall grit, 300 grit, 500 grit, 1000 grit, 2000 grit, then 2500 grit then it should be gone!

Default Uhhhhhhh, most wheels are painted now...sanding them without repainting them will...

...look really nasty. Instead, check out these wheel repair links. I did this with the original 17 5-spokes on my 01 GS430 and they came out fantastic.

My only recommendation is that you wait 1 day for the final sand and clearcoat. I didn't and although the wheels look great, they don't feel as smooth as I'd like.

Check these out:

It's really not that tough - I did all 5 wheels in 3 days (the previous owner trashed them all, including the spare) taking maybe 3 hrs each day. If you have curb rash on one wheel, you should be able to do the repair in an afternoon.

PM me if you want more info, but I think the links do it all.

Good luck!

I just curbed my wheels today and there is an inch long rash on the stainless steel outer lip. I noticed all the links were for silver wheels. Any remedy for me besides wheel repair shop or will it have to be an eyesore?

All those links seem to be for German silver rims using a spray color that is universally used with Porsche, Merc, Audi rims. I have the 17" L-Tuned Super Turismo GT rims and I am not certain what exact color they are, I did see where it said bright silver but I am sure their are several shades of bright silver that may not exactly match if I just go out and get some spray. Do you or anyone have a exact color for these rims or if their is a spray available that is an exact match or very very close. I would like to try repair some curb rash on 2 of the rims so I may be asking for some pointers.
