Buying new 20 inch rims; help me choose
Here are my choices for my new wheels. I want something rare looking and not your everyday 20 inch rim. Please help me choose between these:

Hubbard now this is JMO(and about 95% of the CL members) arelli and lexani are fighting it out to see who can make the worst looking rims on the planet. Post your budget and rim style you like, spoke, dish, mesh, etc and let some of the experienced wheel guru's stear you in the right direction and then make your choice.Trust me. Oh yeah and kronix look like there making a run at the title too.

Don't waste your money buying those cheap a**, ugly wheels. If you are going to put 20's on a lexus, get some wheels that show some class.
Here are a few:
Lowenhart BR5 Link
Lowenhart LD1 Link
And please, if you do decide on these, don't get the Katana's
Lowenhart LR5 Link
HRE Type 540 Link
You have a nice, quality car, save you money and purchase a durable, quality rim!!!!

Jesus Christ! Those are frickin' HIDEOUS! People actually PAY MONEY for those?! I wouldn't take them if they GAVE them to me...I'd use them as targets at my local range...bleah!
Tiny - I guess saying that their company has the UGLIEST wheels means somethings...right?
Try:

www.dazzmotorsports.com/main.asp
www.work-wheels.co.jp/wheels/index/
www.weds.co.jp/products/wheel/wd/wd_list.htm
www.river-side.co.jp/products.htm
I guess if you're trying to make your GS EXTREMELY unattractive and you want people to laugh at you, those Kronix might work...

Well I have a 98 Cinnabar Red GS300. give me some good suggestions on some rims for my car. I really don't want the "porty" look but rather something that would catch your eye while rolling by. Please help.

Sounds like you want to go semi bling blingish and it apears you like a dish style rim so maybe some chrome 20' Auto Coture or maybe work euroline. Not my personal favs but they are reputable and well made. Whats your budget?

Hubbard - 20" wheels will catch attention just for their size. You don't need to try too hard to "impress" people...the fact you have a GS is impressive enough...and if you get some QUALITY 20" wheels, it'll be that much more impressive...
Cinnabar Red is a pretty nice color (and I HATE reds)...my friend has a GS300 with that color...
Anyways, like BadBtsz4u said, what's your budget?
I would suggest looking at some of those sites I listed...there are many wheels to look at...

$2K to $4K for wheels AND tires is kinda low...
Figure tires will cost you around $1200 (TireRack is having a sale on teh Bridgestone Potenza S-03's...which are $1108 plus shipping/handling/tax/etc.)
So that leaves you around $800-$2800 for wheels...at $2800, you're at $700/wheel. That's at the bottom edge of the quality 20" wheel price range...you might want to consider saving up just a little bit more...when you can get to around $900-$1000/wheel, THEN you can get some decent wheels.

I have a Cinnabar Red GS400, with 20 inch Chrome Lowenhart LD1's. And trust me, those snap necks all the time!!!!
Manaray is right, you are already setting it off with the car and it's nice color---as long as you get a nice quality wheel in 20's, you will turn more heads.
Manaray--you said that your friend has the same car in the same color. If he is selling anything off the car, for example a body kit, please let me know. I'm looking for a kit, but hoping I can get it used and in my color----I know, if I wanted that, I should have picked the color white or silver---but hey, it's worth a shot!

Im sure there are people with superior hook-ups that could get Import 20's for really good prices...

Hehhe...Tiny, you got a great deal on the Equips. Most importers wouldn't have given that good of a price...you would have probably normally paid $3800 or so...retail on 20" (x7.5"!) is $1000...and most importers charge at LEAST retail...
That's why I said $900-$1000 as a more realistic price...I was just giving a general guideline. Deals can definitely be had...is just finding those deals...
Hubbard, if you can stand to wait, you might want to check into the for sale section of Club Lexus every so often...
I remember a while back, there were a set of HRE 545's (but 19") going for $2300 or something!
