Offset Help!! I need info ASAP! (searched)
I have a 95 GS that is quite low on Tien HE's (no aero yet )I have found a set of wheels I am in love with for a killer price, and I need to know if I'm going to be able to pull them off.
18x9 +25 ET in the front
18x10+ 40 ET in the rear
I'm pretty sure I won't have any problems with the rears. I'll be running a 275/40 if I can swing it, but if not, I'll stretch a 255/40 to clear.
It's the fronts I'm stressing: I'm currently running a 18x8 +35 ET in the front with a 245/40. The car is tucking, and I have NO clearance issues. I DO NOT want to raise the car, and I'm hoping that I can run the 18x9 +25 with a stretched 225/45 and and a fair amount of negative camber (2.5-3.0 degrees) to close the deal.
If anyone can give me some solid information on this fitment, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks CL!

This is a very strange width/offset combination.
The rear wheels are actually 2mm more inboard than the fronts
(relative to the fender)
This means you will have very aggressive front wheels with fairly conservative
rear wheels. If anything, you'll want to use a spacer on the rear wheels
to "even-out" the look on the car.
Also, 18s look pretty small on the 1GS.
I'd blow these off and get a proper set of wheels, personally.
If you stretch the front tires you should be able to make the fronts work
with a bit more negative camber. My brother has 20x9 +37 up front, and they
are definitely a little conservative; yours will be 1/2" more outboard than his,
but he has his camber adjusted as POSITIVE as possible to maximize tire wear.

Thanks for the info. I was weirded by the strange combination, and I plan on running a 5mm spacer out back to even it up.
I won't have aero for a while, and I want to run 18's until then... or until I find an equally killer deal on some 19's. Besides, 18" tires are a lot cheaper to burn off.
