mini-report Bridgestone RE960AS vs Pirelli PZero Nero
Sorry that these pictures suck a bit, but I was in a hurry.
The main point of this thread and the pictures is simply to try to show the difference in the two tires visually.
I've thoroughly worn out the Pirelli's and ordered up a set of the RE960AS Bridgestone's.
My only real complaint about the Pirelli's would have been that if there is more than 2" of snow on the ground, I could forget about getting anywhere.
Dry and wet traction (rain) were fantastic. Road noise and cornering were good, but I only give them a 6.5 in the snow. And that is with me adding a full tank of gas and 200lbs to the trunk.
Notice how the Pirelli has a more squared off shoulder, and the Bridgestone has a more rounded shoulder? I'm sure that this can equate to somewhat of a softer and quieter ride for the Bridgestone over the Pirelli's but I think the PIrelli's LOOK COOLER on the car!!
Something about rounded shoulders on tires looks very "family car-ish".
I just wanted to try something different and these new Bridgestones seem rated pretty well. So far I only have about 400 miles on them but of course they are as smoth as can be. Waiting for some snow to hit the area to test them out in the white stuff!

I've had the pp's on my GS since May and about 3-4k. Still waiting to see how they do in snow as well.
The only thing I don't like about them is that they "ping" on hard bumps.
