Winter Tires
Anybody have any winter tire recommendations for an LS 400 (225/60-16)? The city I live in has excellent snow removal, so conditions are usually fine for all season tires. But when they aren't, conditions are either:
-blizzard, not yet plowed
-ice formed during fall/spring freeze/
thaw cycles on top of packed snow
-slush & water on the way into/out of
freeze/thaw cycle
-slush on top of ice on top of packed
show
I'm assuming there isn't an all-season tire
suitable for rear wheel drive and these
conditions. I've run Michelin X Ones on
other front wheel drive cars with great
success, but I doubt that will cut it for
RWD.
I've seen some favorable reviews of:
Michelin Arctic-Alpin
Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice
and was wondering if anybody had run these
on their LS and had a first hand account.
Thanks!
