Best comfort tires for GS350AWD
Any recommendation for most comfortable tires for GS350AWD? I will be driving in NYC rough street roads and would like better ride. I am not happy with Dunlop SP Sport 5000M.

stech,
I’ve got an IS250 AWD and have a similar desire for a more luxury ride over sport. In addition I was also looking for a tire with better wet and light snow traction which are not a strong point on the OEM Bridgestone RE92s that came on my car.
Before give you my opinion, I was thinking I haven’t been in a GS since last December when I purchased my car but doesn’t your GS come with Run Flat tires? If so, many have said, and I agree, that run flat tires will give a sportier or harsher ride then a conventional tire. If you want to stay with the run flats what I’m about to share will not be of any use, but if you’d like to go with a conventional tire and throw a spare in your trunk read on…..
New England roads can’t be much different than NY and I’ve decided on the Michelin Pilot Sport All Seasons tire. Been researching since Jan 06 and I hope to get them on my car Sept 07 when these wear out, but maybe sooner if I have a bad experience the snow this winter.
My brother put these tires on his LS430 and its rides nice, but what really sold me on them is my neighbor put them on his Acura TL and it was like night and day compared to what he had before and I am sold!
I’m also thinking about going from 225/45R17 to 225/50R17 thinking that the extra ½ inch of sidewall will soften things up, but I’ll save that for another thread.
Good Luck and please let us know how you make out.
