Default KICS wheel spacer ????

I have been searching and nothing really comes up. For those who have the KICS spacers or similar know that the spacers have the studs already built in. But my problem is when I put the KICS and screw it, the oem studs sticks out and hits the back of my rims. The only solution to this is to grind my oem studs to sit flush with the spacers. Is this ok to do and is it safe?? from my research on this site, alot of people talk about the H&R but have never came across a thread posting about what to do if the thread is long....also please do not answer like "get new rims" or "spacers aren't safe"....if you do not have constructive criticism...please not don't answer.....thank you

Shave it down... no problems (sometimes the wheels have pockets behind the hub)
