Default 20" Wheel fitment help needed on an LS430

Hows it going guys, I need some insight. A guy wants to pick up my 20" Giovana Attack 2's and he has an LS430. I'm sure they'll fit size wise, but I'm worried about the brake caliper up front.

To clear a TT brake set up with these wheels on a GS you need a 7.5mm spacer.

Would you need a spacer on the LS?

any insight would be very nice.

Thanks

Are they just as big as the TT's? Basically you will need a 10mm spacer for them as well. With a 10mm spacer what wil the relationship to the fender be like?

i think if 10mm clears the tt, it will probably clear the ls430 brakes as well. just a guess here of course

and that means the wheels would be 10mm closer to fender?

Thats correct. So how would a 8.5 inch wheel with a 35mm offset and 10mm spacer set up on an LS?

Sucks.

I had a set of Kaotiks that were 20x8.5, 35 offset, and I only needed a 3mm spacer to clear the caliper. Depends on the spoke design. I had terrible steering feel and kickback in the wheel, made driving the car not enjoyable. I didn't have any vibration because I used the appropriate size hubcentric rings, but the net 32mm offset just plain sucked. It looks even worse because the rear wheel (I'm assuming these are NOT staggered) is tucked way under but the friont sticks way out with the spacer. I can't imagine how crappy it would look with a 10mm spacer.

He hit it right on the noce, your going to come across the issue of looks where the front wheels are going to look flush but the rears are going to be sucked it. Unless he does 10mm spacer all around to correct this.

You are absolutely correct there, I have seen cars with huge spacers up front and non staggered wheels, it almost looks like the car is driving backwards!
