Tire question on 20s
I have a set of 20X8.5 +35 on my 04 GS300. My friend has a pair of 275-30-20 that he will give me. I currently have 245-35-20 all the way around. I plan to put those in the rear of the car if they fit. Will that fit with any issues? Im not worried about speedo calibration etc. Just wondering if the tire size be an issue with the rim size.
Thanks

Yep, you'll need wider wheels for the 275s.
Most tire manufacturers specify AT LEAST a 9.0" wide wheel for a 275, with 9.5" or 10" optimal.
You might get a shop to try and mount them on your 8.5" wheels,
but they will likely curse your name (wide tires on skinny wheels = difficult)
while they struggle with them...
and it will look as goofy as all get-out if they do manage to mount them.
