Kumho ECSTA SPT?!?!?!
Has anyone ever ridden on these tires before? They are priced relatively well, with a set of 2x245/35/20 and 2x275/30/20 comes out to about $600.
The reviews read pretty well as well. They are a summer high performance tire, which with me living in So Cal seems to work out pretty well.
The other tires in this same set-up would cost about $1000. Im not one for sacrificing quality for price, but if there is a neglible difference between say a Pirelli PZero and these, then i'd save myself the 400 bucks. However, if these tires tend to last half as long as others, and provide a bad ride, whats the point saving the cash now if im gonna have to spend it later. Mother always told me "cheapie's pay twice".
So anyone have any experience with these tires?

I never had experiance with Kumho SPT but used Kumho tire in many occassion. As for the quality and price, I think they are best bang for the buck.
All the Kumho tires I used, I was happy with.

I have these tires on my IS300 (17"). They are the best bang for the buck as mentioned above. They are so quiet and perform great in the wet. I can not comment on tread wear as I have only used them for 8000 km. But so far I am really happy with my purchase.

It's an old thread but since you asked I have this on my rears right now. 245's on a 10.5. Very nice stretch. Don't have any problems right now. Only had them for a bit so I don't know about the longevity of these tires.

Thanks! Do you have any close up pics to share? I'm wondering if the Kumho's run wider than others? I only have a 10" wide rear and was planning on going with the 245's initially but thought it might be a "safety" concern and now planning on 255's instead.

I had those on my previous DD, in 19". From the start, they were noisey (to me). As the miles started adding up, so did the noise. They continued to get louder, to the point that I had wished that I had never bought them. Something about the tread pattern or compound, or both, make these tires very noisey. I will not buy them again.
