Default Sanding/Polishing wheels?

i have a 93 es 300 with stock wheels. the air slowly leaks out so that every few weeks i'm going to pump up the tires another 5-10lbs. what i've had done before is had a tire place polish the wheels where the tire meets the wheel on the inside since it's corroding away. i went there again today and this time the guy told me that i should buy new wheels since it's bad to keep re-polishing them and the structural integrity will be compromised. is this true or a buncha bs and he's just trying to get me to buy new wheels. any input would be great, thanks!

If you have polished lips on your wheels, repolishing them should cause no problems to the use and/or structural integrity of the wheels. Sounds like the guy wants to sell you a new set of wheels. If you are having slow leaks, are you sure you don't have a nail or something in your tire? If you have polished lips, you have to polish them. Take it to another place to have them look for the leak.
