Customizing wheels question?
I recently purchased these to go on my '99 GS4. I want to customize the wheels by painting the blacks accents the color of my car (beige metallic). The color looks more like gold metallic to me, but if they say thats what it is, then who am I to say different. I am thinking of doing this project myself. I have gotten quotes from some paint shops and they seem too expensive for such a little job. I found the auto spray paint that color matches my car on the net. I can prime, paint and clearcoat myself. My question is has anyone tried a similar porject and how did it turn out? Will the spray paint last or will I be painting the inserts every year? I also got Pirelli PZero Neros to go with these wheels. Thanks for any help.

or take it to a professional paint shop. the normal spray can paints aren't made to last (and the spray can clears aren't even close to professional auto clears). i do auto body work for a living, and i've seen way too many people mess things up with spray cans. primering and wet sanding incorrectly will lead to wavy paint as well.

Sorry I posted it twice. Could not get pic to work in first thread. Sounds like I will be taking them to a paint shop in order to paint the black inserts. Just seemed so expensive for so very little painting. Do these wheels look like like a decent choice for a GS?
