Question biggest wheels i can get

what are the biggest size rims i can fit on a 98 gs 400. both width and diameter. I was hoping to get some 19x10 on the back and some 18x9 on the front would that work and what is a general price range.

babyboy,
You shouldn't have any problems with 19's, or 20's for that matter, but I don't know about 21's. As far as a price range, it depends on what type of wheel you're interested in (style, size, quality, finish, etc.). This "wheel" forum is brand new so the information you want isn't readily available (yet) but if you use the SEARCH or look through some recent threads in the GS forum you'll see some nice wheels. Also, the gallery is FULL of nice wheels. Give a budget and several people can point you in the right direction for some quality wheels. Sorry I can't be more helpful but I don't want to speak of a subject which I don't know. I'm sure some of the experts will be posting soon.

Later, Josh

20x10 should be alright on the GS400...what is your stock wheel size and offset?

I saw a couple of days ago the custom wheel shop near my area put 21" rims on Derek Jeter's S500. It fit with no problem but I'm not sure about a GS.

I have a great deal for 21" Lowenharts but I am still debating if I should get it. Its $4000 for both wheels and tires. Plus I lowered the car, so I am not sure HOW MUCH modifications to the fender that I would need.

Are you sure they are $4000 for 21's. That's a pretty good price, but sounds real shady----you better make sure they are not 20's for that price.

If you can get Lowenhart 21's with tires for $4000 let me know and I will get some with you.

I personally wouldn't go with anything larger than 20"...but that's just me...

You can do 20" x 10" on a JZS-16x GS but you may experience some rubbing if you lower the car too much.

A better setup would be 20" x 9.5" with a +38 offset (low disk)...run a 275/30-20 tire and you won't rub even with the car being dumped with some people in back...

The person who is selling the rims is my best friend's brother, so I know its not shady . I've known him for 12+ yrs. He won't tell me where/how he got the rims but they are 100% real 21" lowenharts.
