Default Rims questions?

Will rims from a 2nd generation GS fit on the 3rd generation GS? The setup are 20 x 8.5 w/ 38mm offset in the front and 20 x 9.5 w/ 35mm offset in the rear. Tires size is 245-35-20 in the front and 275-30-20 in the rear.

Based on those specs, I'd say yes they will fit.

No problem. The rear is a little on the strong side, but it works. Get ready to chop some fenders though!

Would you say you have to chop fenders even if I dont lower the 06 GS? Or even just an 1 inch like a Eibach Pro kit or something?

That's a toss-up... you might be ok, but I'm not 100%.. I believe you still wil have to. When you lower the car, You usually get some negative camber which in turn gives you a little more clearance...

9.5 +35 is right on the border for the 2GS. Depending on a few more factors (alignment/camber, tire choice, lowering), fender work may or may not be needed. For some reason, I thought the 3GS had a little bit more room. With you owning a 3GS and your wheel experiments, I guyess you'd know better than me David.

Yeah... the Lexion on my car right now are 9.5 et35 and they are all the way out to the edge, but I'm running that 285/30-20. (it barely clears...) It looks like with a 275/30-20, he should be ok without having to trim too much fender.... I'm too lazy to put on a 275/30-20 to experiment... haha.. getting old...

also.. like you said NEO, Depending on a few more factors (alignment/camber, tire choice, lowering)
