Standard Stems on SC 430 stock rims
I can see where I may have posted this question in the wrong place, so I am re-posting it here in the Wheels forum.
I am selling my 2002 SC 430 stock rims to an individual in Illinois. The chrome stems were transferred to my after-market rims, along with the sensors. The purchaser is wondering whether the Lexus stock rims will be compatible with standard stems, or whether he will be required to purchase specifically the Lexus sensor stems. Does anyone know whether he can use standard stems? Thanks for the info.

RodF - I don't really know for sure, hopefully someone with more experience will answer but you may have already answered your own question. If the Lexus stems went into your aftermarket wheels and everything is fine, I think you have pretty strong evidence that aftermarket stems will do fine in the Lexus rims. I hope that makes sense. Sorry I didn't see your ad, might have talked myself into them if they fit a GS. Anyway, glad you found a buyer.

Thanks
RON430 -
Thanks for responding to my inqury. I appreciate any input I can get.
For general info purposes, the buyer finally got a answer from his Lexus dealer that it would accept aftermarket stems.

RodF - Cool. Couldn't really see any difference in the seating of the stems, far as I know that is a standard that goes a long way back. But if there was something unique in the Lexus stems, they probably would not have worked very well on your aftermarket rims. Sometimes logic does work.
