General Exclaim UHP Tires
Just want to share my experience with the General Exclaim UHP. I replaced my still new RFTs with General Exclaim UHP. It is an ultra high performance summer tire that appears to have been made by Continental. Tire Rack consumer reviews ranked it number 1 among 47 other tires.
I'm happy to say that it is very quiet, and the ride was supple/comfortable. Very quiet. I haven't done any emergency braking or maneuvers with it as I am still wearing it down a bit to release the new compounds. Based on the survey, it ranked very high on grip, both wet and dry. it also ranked high on treadwear rating. On its sidewall, interestingly, it says it is M+S even though it is clearly rated as ultra high performance summer tire.
Rolling resistance is probably quite good. I drove the car round trip for 130 miles last week with two people in the car, 100% freeway, on cruise control, set at 75MPH, tires pumped to 35 psi, and the car's trip info displayed 27.5 MPG ave. Amazing! I then drove the car to work and errands for a week after, combined, highway and city driving, and my trip info is presently at 24.5 MPG. Yesterday, I increased the tire pressure to 38 to make the tire surface contact even more squarely with the road. The ride is still comfortable as compared to the RFTs. I have them on stock rims/tire size: 245/40/R18.
The best part of all these is the price: under $500 delivered for a set of four. The only remaining question is if the tire would still be quiet after thousands of miles.

I have the General UHP on my GS 430. 19", and after approx. 5000 miles they still look new and I agree they are great. Ride is very nice and quiet. I have the pressure at 33 but I may pump them up to about 36 or 37. I wholly recommend them to anyone. Hollalua, Spread the word.

I'm glad to hear all the good reviews from you guys. I am planning on getting the General Exclaim UHP in 235/35/ and 265/30 for 19" wheels. It had excellent ratings in many of the categories and the reviews on TR seemed to good to be true. UHP tire with 380 treadwear and AA traction for $121-$136? Wow!!!
