Default 06 Wheel compatibility

I was wondering what other vehicles might fit our wheels. I bought custom iforged wheels for the GS. How would they fit on another vehicle? Or, are there vehicles that have comparable wheels spec's (particularly the offset) with the GS? I was wondering if my wheels would fit on an Infiniti M?

The wheels will fit the Infinity M-series cars, but the Hub Bore is larger on the Infinity so a different or additional hub ring is recomended. You can also re-insert the wheels to a 5x112 PCD from the 114 to fit on certain Mercedes Benz applications. The wheels also will work on the LS430.

Can it go the other way? Can you fit a 5x112 to a 3GS? I don't understand how you can fit a wheel when the bolt pattern is different.

Yes it can go the other way. That's how I was able to fit Brabus wheels onto the Lexus 2GS B4. Basically, since the 144-112 PCD is so close to each other, (about 1 credit card thickness from hole to hole), a reputable machine shop is able to play with the hole and insert a ?steel? insert sleeve to adjust the PCD. I believe the charge on this is about 25-30/wheel.

Here's one of Brabus MB III:

Basically, the bolt pattern and offsets are compatible with the Infiniti M but I may need a different hubcentric ring?

I'm not sure if we will keep this car forever. If I were to sell or trade it in I wanted to know what other cars I can successfully use my custom wheels on. I like the Infinit M45.

Yes, depending on what the bore of the wheel is (most are 73mm), you will need to get a hubcentric ring. DO NOT get a "close enough" one Even the slightest difference may cause vibrations.

Lexus = 60.1mm
Infinity M45 = 66.1mm (same as 350Z)

So, you would need to get a (if wheel is 73mm) 66.1mm-73mm ring. Because the 350Z is so popular, it should be no problem finding these rings. They usually sell for around $15-25/pc.

Help this all makes sense... I tend to ramble sometimes....

Sweet, thanks for the info. I can request for a hubcentric ring from iforged if I were to trade. The main thing is as long as the offsets, bolt pattern and clearance for brakes are good. I need that double verified. Eternity3G, do you know someone who has swapped wheels from an 06 GS to an 06 Infiniti M? If tire size is an issue I can always change those out. I'd hate to sell the gorgeous wheels if we traded or sold the car. Also, I'd lose major dough by selling them used.

Sorry man, never tried the switch over before, but when I do wheels and tires for M's, I just order the Lex fitment usually, and use the rings. Tire sizes are frt. 245/35-20 rear 275/30-20 for the M45. So... pretty much the same... Sorry I couldn't be more help!

I remember that iForged wheels are not hub-centric (i'll check with Vince on Monday) and the bore should be 73mm. BUT, if he did make the wheels hub-centric to the Lexus, than you can always send the wheels to a machine shop to open the center bore to 66.1mm - perfect to the M45. It's an easy process that costs around 25-35/wheel.

Good thing we have an in-house machine shop. If it's just the center of the wheel i can slap it on the CNC Fadal and bore it out with an end mill.
