quick question on old stock rims
i dont think this question belongs to the tire forum so here it is. my dads 97 odyssey has 138k miles on it. its got stock rims(actually caps cuz its only an lx ver) but since of the high mileage, do the rims deteriorate in a way that they blow out the tires? we had an issue before that in this set of 4 tires, only one particular tire(same rim) blew out 2 tires. both didnt hav nails or punctures in them. today a different tire( dif rim) blew out but same location. suggestions?

It could be that the wheel is deformed. Did you notice anything while driving? (Vibrations? Pulling to the left/right?)
Another reason could be something to do with your suspension. I don't know much about this subject, maybe someone could jump in. But if it happened 3 times on the same wheel, I would swap it out to be safe. A good $50 investment.

actually all 3 on the same location (but two different rims) because i just got the tires rotated when i had the last flat (same location, right front) changed.

actually no indications. my dad said that once he started from the stop light, it felt flat already!
