well i was checking out a lot of aftermarket wheels but i really like how my stock chrome 17s look so ive decided that for now im going to keep those. plus with 105k miles on the car i like the fact that my wheel bearings are still intact lol. anyway i did some tire size calculating and it looks like i can keep the stock 235/45/17s on the front and run a 265/40/17 on the rear with only a overall tire height difference of .02 which is excellent. my question is, will a 265mm tire fit ok on our stock 17x8 rims? btw i have an 01 GS430. i plan on lowering the car a little with some eibach prokit sprince which they say lowers an average of 1.2 inches front/rear. do i have to worry about rubbing issues with the car lowered? im sure it'll be ok with the 265s on the rear at stock height. any help is greatly appreciated. thanks! btw if anyone wants to get in contact with me via email about this my email is ALEXGS43@aol.com

The most I would be comfortable with on a x8 wheel is 245. With that in mind, I would also not do staggered tires on same size rims.

same here, for the same width front and back, personally i don't see any reason to do staggered tire setup
