Which tires
I might be picking up a set of 1998-2000 LS400 16 inch wheels off a member here, and my Contis are almost done for, I racked up 25K on them already. I plan on going to a 215/55-16 tire, and my choices are so far:
BFGoodrich Traction TA
BFGoodrich Touring TA Pro Series from Costco
Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S
Toyo Proxes TPT
Bridgestone Potenza RE960 or Turanza LS-H/LS-V
I need a tire with good treadlife, and that handles well. Wet traction is a priority for those NorCal winters, so I don't want tires like the Michelin MXV4 series.
