Default What size Tires for 18's on my 94 LS???

Hey whats up everyone. I been going around and around with this for a while. I plan to get 18's for my 94 LS, mainly because I think the 18s will be a great fit all around for the car rather than 20's. The question is what size tires should I get? I spoke to some people from www.tirerack.com and the said I have 3 choices:

235/45 - smallest sidewall, the claim it needs a higher psi. a tiny bit smaller overall diameter (26.3 inches)
235/50 - tallest sidewall, more cushion. 2% larger differential in oem wheel diameter (27.3 inches)
245/45 - perfect match in terms of diameter (26.6 inches). May rub due to the wideness of tire. may need customization to the wheel well

At first I was leaning towards the 235/50s because thats what tirerack reccomends due to the extra cushion, but I dont know if I want the wheel to be larger looking, and that 2% differential is a little bit much. Now Im thinking about the 235/45, although they are a tiny bit smaller but closer to the actual overall diameter Im running on the factory 16s. Has anyone out there had this question, and what are some opinions out there, Id like to hear from people that are running these size tires too. Thanks people.

I run 235/45/18 Kumho SPT on my 94 LS and could not be happier. Having said that I think you are wise not to consider anything in the 40 series for a LS.

Can't stand driving the other 2 LS models that family members own that are on oem 16's.

I have 18x8 rim on the front with 235/40 and 18x9 on the back with a 265/40 , I run mine pretty low as I have a suspension height controller and don't have any probs with rubbing , the big feet on the back look dead to the max !!

i don't see how you're looking at tires for 18 inch wheels, and you haven't mentioned the width of the wheels you're intersted in.

is it a 18 x 7 wheel, or an 18 x 10 wheel... or somewhere in between? or is it even wider than that?

I think they are like 35lbs each which is on the heavy side.
