Default Help Please Tires

Ok I need a good set of tires for my rims and dont know what brand to go with. So I look to my fellow cl members for some great advice. Can you help me out here? I'm looking for a really comfortable, smooth an also very quiet ride may I add. I have two brands in mind and that is the Toyo Proxes T1-R and Michelin Pilot Sport PS2. I really prefer all season ultra high performance and all season high performance. But what would you suggest please help asap Beacuse I need to get the tires in the next week or so. Oh by the way the tire sizes that I need are 245/45/18f or40 and 275/40/18r and my rim sizes are 18x8f and 18x9r

michelin PS2s is the way to go
have them and luv them...!
may not be the stickiest tires, but in tire rack's latest max tire performance test, they rank 2nd or 3rd in all tests
and they're really comfortable and relatively quiet for a max perf tire

Hey man, did you get the wheel shop to order you the right sizes? Or did they allow you to substitute the tires instead?

Hey Derrick how you doing man? I called you back earlier today and I left you a message. Its been rough for me.They keep telling that they already started on my wheels. And that I can't cancel and its going to cost me more money just to change from 18x8f 18x9r to 18x9f to 18x10r. And also they said that I might have to rolled the fenders to keep it from rubbing when I have passengers in the back seat or when I turn the corner. And I might have to do some other type modifications that I really dont want to do. Here take a look at the rims that I'm getting and give me your opinion Derrick. I was already given great advice by AZ and Rominl on what I should get. And I gave that same advice to them azzholes and they keep playing with my emotions
Derrick. Could you tell me what you think? And do you think I should make them give me the18x8f and 18x10r or 18x9f and 18x10. Here is what they look like. I just want the wheels to be flush with my fenders a real clean look with no rubbing or complications and I want to have a smooth comfortable, quiet ride now tell me is that asking to much?

Hey Rudy, I picked up your message, but it was after I left the office. I kinda thought they would strongarm you on the order, althought the tire idea that I gave you should have helped, as they would still be making money. There is no way they ordered the wheels already, or else you would have NO OPTION of changing sizes! It is true that 9 / 10 is more than 8 / 9, but we are talking about 100 bucks or so, nothing major.

As far as sizing yes 18x8 / 18x10 is cool, although I prefer 18x9 / 10 (when the option of a 9 is availible). Regarding fitment, if you are ordering custom made wheels, then there will be no rubbing. It is a oxymoron for them to utter that to you, its almost like saying, "We are going to tailor make you a suit, but the slacks will be too short and the sleeves will be too long" lol.

I think this is the wheel that you want as they haven't made a wheel like the one you posted since MC HAMMER was popular.

Here is what I think you want

On a GS

yeah i meant the pilot sport a/s. i got them for one big reason -- tread wear. it has 400 tread wear, that's good for me. i am tired of getting tires every day, and since i don't drive like a mad man anymore, it's fine with me. and surprisingly with these tires i get very good handling, even better than my old pzero nero imho, especially in rain.

the ps2 is defintely better, much better grip and it's even quieter than the a/s imho. however it comes with a higher price tag and from the reviews they wear out fast. for sure not close to the 400 tread wear on the a/s. if you want the ultimate grip and handling, i would definitely recommend the ps2. but for every day joe (like me, haha) i choose the a/s

and thanks guys, i am learning too, just trying to help as much as i can
