DPE Rims
Anybody heard of it... i just bought a set and they;re custom making it for the GS 300 2006, which isn't too hard because the offsets are similar to the 2nd generation GS.

Yeah, I have a few friends who had them on their cars. One of them had the R20's on his G35 and his lady with the Benz had the R16's on her's both sets in high polish.
here's a pic of the R16 before they were mounted
and here's the R20 mounted

Damn dude those are the same wheels I am contemplating on getting. It was either those or iforged wheels. From what I've heard DPE and iforged are similar but iforged has been around longer. One dealer told me that DPE is better. Really, what it comes down to is the raw material and mfg. processes. I'm pretty sure they use the same vendor for materials and their CNC machines and programs are all good and lastly their polishing equipment and techniques are the same.

Thats about right, DPE has been around since about 2004 or so and iFORGED since about 2000 or 2001. Both are good quality, but DPE is more expensive (the only no cost finsh is flat silver, whereas iFORGED black, gunmetal, polished etc is no cost), and they are smaller than iFORGED so the costs have to be passed along moreso.
We carry DPE, but in many cases what I have personally had happen it a prospect will call about a DPE quote and then say "well much for the same size iFORGED xxx?" and it will be a few hundred bucks less, they usually then just go with iFORGED.
