Default Are these too narrow for the GS300

I found some Chrome TIS wheels 20x7.5 w/ +38 offset. Do you think these will be to narrow or with that offset they will look alright? They would be for a stock height 2000 GS300.

Default Are these too narrow?

I already posted this in the wheel forum. What i need to know is, 20" TIS wheels 20x7.5 with a 38 offset will they look to narrow on a stock height GS300 if i were running 245-35-20 tires? Let me know what you think. I beleive that the look would be alright as the tire size is correct . But the offset with a 20x7.5 would that cause ant rubbing issues?

Yes those wheels are made for Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, etc etc type cars, on the GS they will be sorely undersized.

stock GS 16s come with 225/55s and are +50 offset/7.5 wide. stock 17s are +50/ 8 inches.

I see that these would work if i bought them. As the stock measurements really help me to decide. One other question is how about running some spacers to push the wheels out . In order to fill the wheel well if needed? I may be able to get these wheels real cheap is why im interested in them.

buy the wheels, put them on, and decide how far out you want to bring them. the front will most likely be different than the back.

Also, be aware that certain thickness spacers may require longer studs. And you can only get adapters so thin (I seem to remember seeing 3/4", but it might only be 1")

Sorry for the double post. Thanks for your input guys. And yes i did see some adapters on ebay so i just may get the wheels put them on and see about going with spacers or adapters. Unless someone has a negative reason for using them. Thanks again

we have every negative reason to go against putting spacers on the car, it's not good for suspension, more stress on studs, it's just not a good idea. do't do it

and 7.5??? get something else, that's not for the gs

So your saying that it puts too much stress on the studs and suspension by running spacers. I have a rockcrawler landcruiser that i currently run 15x10 w/2 1/2" backspacing along with 1 1/2 " wheel spacers to give me a wider stance instead of going full width axels. I drive this rig to every event in the mountains with no problem at all. I put this rig through hell and have never has an issue with studs on the spacers or hub. As far as suspension i dont know as im not looking for ride comfort in this rig. I know the lexus has a very plush ride so you saying by running spacers i will lose that and by running the spacers on the GS will cause stress on the suspension. I'm not mad just curious i really dont want to mess up my car. Thanks for you input its greatly appreciated.
