Default Busted head of wheel lock nut SC400

Looking for any suggestions. In trying to remove one of my wheels I accidently busted the head of the wheel lock nut. Just enough so that when I put the lock key over the nut now it slips when I try to loosen it. See pic below. I bought this tool that is suppose to remove the nut, I hammered it onto the lock nut then tried to loosen it but the tool just loosens right off the nut and doesn't bring the nut with it. http://www.kentool.com/tireserv_UE.htm

Just looking to see if anyone has any other ideas..

try some liquid wrench, let it sit on there a bit. If the tool keeps slipping, you might want to take a cold chisel and put some burrs on lug nut so the tool will grip better.

Default Tires

Only problem with mine is the tire on that rim is blown, so I can't drive the car.. I have a set of 4 16" rims with tires on them I was trying to swap out. So if I can't get the bolt off myself looks like i'm going to have to tow it. However I talked to the lexus dealership and they said they only way they were able to fix the problem before was by either drilling or heating up the nut and they usually damage the rims..

That's weird same thing happened to me when I had chrome GS400 wheels on my SC. I bought a socket and forced it over the lock nut and took it off that way.

what size socket did you use? I tried a few but couldn't get them to pound over the nut.. The lock set is a factory one I purchased from the lexus dealer..

I can't remember I bought a cheap set and pretty much tried different sizes and hammered it on the lock and then took it off.

What ever method you use .. gator grip, pipe-wrench, wis-grips etc ... just put the other 4 nuts on, and torque them properly. Then try to tackle the wheel-lock.

Why: This releives the tension on the offending bolt and should make it easier to budge.

Tip: Always use anti-sieze on lug bolts. Toque the lock-nut last and it should be the first one you loosen.

Further .. looking at the picture the bolt/nut/rim-hole looks odd. Seems there is a gap for the rim to be moved. If so try to budge the rim. [Just be careful if the car is on the jack]

My brother had the same problem on his rsx and had to drill the lug out from the back side.
