DOES CHROME 19-20 Kill TRANNY"S
I wanted to put some rims on my GS, i was thinking 19's or 20, but was skeptical about making that move. I was told that rims destroy your struts and tranny. Especially heavy chrome wheels. Anyone ever had this problem?

doesnt destroy anything just messes with the speedo alittle by a few mph i think
and 19's or 20's sometimes just wear out your struts faster sometimes...cause after i took my rims off for the winter i need new strut mounts thats it...but if you have a warranty the suspension is covered anyway so

Chrome wheels do not have to be heavy (if you purchase the right products), I can show you chrome wheels that are lighter than silver wheels that are 1" smaller! lol
The wheels will not hurt anything alone, however you do need to excersice caution and can not drive as if you had stocks. Not sure what part of NY you are in, but I drive and have driven in Bklyn with 20" wheels and lowered cars for years now with no issues at all.
Good luck

Thanks for the feedback guys. I was looking for the perfect rims for my GS and came to the conclusion ( my opinion) that deep dish chrome 20's are the way to go. I think bulky rims give the GS a sexy look. I was considering changing the park lights that are located at the bottom of the front bumper to clear. Does anyone know where to search for them?
