hey guys want to give my GS3 a bit more traction next summer and i'm gonna try and convince my mom to buy new tires since they are about 70,000 miles old, we have an extra set of wheels/tires for the winter so i'm thinking about really good tires, how do

Yokohama AVS Sport Sounds? they come in the right size so would you guys recomend them? my main concern is wet traction, will it be as good as stock? hopefully better right? thanks guys.

also will there be less sidewall shift / more responsiveness? thanks again

*70000* miles!? Maybe you mean kilometers? Still that's about 44K miles, which is GREAT.

What tires do you have now? If they're some of those cheap Goodyears then almost ANYTHING will be better. We replaced the Goodyear 'Integrity' ($50 tires!) on our RX300 with Michelins - WOW - much better in every way - quieter, handle better, more confident in the rain, etc.

I don't know the Yoko AVS Sports - several have said good things about them if I recall. Anyway, suggest you read about them on tirerack - their reviews are generally very useful.

OK that's more like it. If the summer Goodyears have 57K Km on them, that's about 36K miles, about what I'd expect for non-performance tires.

Almost ANYTHING will be better. Toyo FZ4s might be good since you're still on the 16" rim. Lots of Michelins, the Dunlop SP5000 would be good. I liked Yokohamas I had on my last car.
