I think it will look a little funny with the front extending past the fender and the rear not.

I wonder if we were looking at the same rims. I was looknig at these Ruff Racing Rims . They had a great price, but the offsets didn't seem right at +20 for the fronts. I didnt pursue it much further than that.

i found a shop that has the correct offsets now but i have a choice between +35 and +40. I know that the +40 would fit no problem but how hard would it be to have +35, would i have to shave the fender? would i have rubbing issues? thanks for the help.

I know your question is regarding 19"
but I have a 20X8.5 35mm rim with 245/35/20 in the front and Iam rubbing. I'd rather go with 40mm and slam the car 2" upfront
P.S. The more negative offset you go with the rim, it flushes it more towards the fender, it pushes the wheel out. I dont think you can roll the fender in the front on the GS.

With 19x8.5 +35, depending on your suspension, you may need to modify the inner liner and roll the fender lip a bit. rominl ran 20x8.5 +32 and that is all he needed to do.
LexT, with 20s (unless you are running smaller spec tires to stay within OEM diameter), the more you drop, the more likelihood of rubbing the top. 245/35 is just taller than OEM and it is prone to rub at the top of the wheelwell liner.

i was going to use 235 35 in the front and 275 30 in the rear....i want it to sit flush with the fender but i dont want all the problems that go along with it. I will probably be getting a set of tein cs. I dont want to put a lot of negative camber on the car because i will still be driving it often and dont want to constantly be replacing tires. Hope this new info helps. Thanks ahead for whatever suggestions you guys have.
