max performance tires and cold weather = be careful
This is a public service anouncement:
I found out the hard way, even if the roads are dry be careful, high performnace tires loose there "stickiness" when it is cold.
I'm running S03's and cant even punch it on a straight away while on the highway, the car wants to get sideways everytime. It's right at 40 degrees, hopefully the tires will grip better as the temp approaches 50

For the "sports" fans out there, get tires made of silica compound instead of rubber. Silica remains soft and pliable in cold weather.
Hope this helps.
