Default Speedometer off???
I was driving today and came accross one of those speed traps. My speedometer was showing 44 but the trap was showing 39. It does feel like i got slower than it shows on the speedometer.

Any ideas??? LEt me know

Almost all speedometers have up to 5% error. Wheel and tire combination can affect it as well. i put 20"s on mine and I verified with GPS it's right on.

There are MN highways with 1/8M and 1/4M painted markers for speed enforcement by airplane. Use a stop watch between the two markers. It should take 15 seconds at 60MPH to travel the quarter mile. Another option is to use the MPH feature of a portable GPS unit.

215/60/16, just the way its supposed to be. I makes no sense

sounds like the trap is off not your speedometer...
