NICE!! Well i would be willing to bet against that being photoshop'd if you look in the second picture you can see the reflection of the Scion's wheel on the clear material. Wonder how these would hold up to the NYC area roadways

On further thought that looks like a 2 piece wheel that some on replace the center with high strength thick Lexan

Well clearly, "no pun intended," these are not on the market. I wonder who will be the first company to make them available. They will have to do something about keeping them clean and ventilation for the brakes but I bet it is on the horizon and will become available soon. That is an awesome idea with tons of potential.

I was reading on another forum that these wheels were not intended for road use. Mearly just to show off brake/susp set ups at shows.

Dem Z's sure do represent with some rims & suspension...!

You would ABSOLUTELY need to have some high-$ brake hardware (14" cross-drilled rotors, 4- 6 pot calipers and a comparable rear setup as well) to justify these type of wheels.

Default I am the inventor of these wheels

I am the inventor of this increddible new patented wheel design.
original plans involved keeping this secret untill SEMA 06. but pictures have leaked out
I am just discovering these pictures online to my suprise today.
To answer some questions, they are streetable, and far stronger than needed, to the point of overkill. I have driven at night some 1000 miles, and they drive great.
look for this product sometime in early 2007 from a large wheel manufacturer.
