New tires on today
Got new Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s on today.
F: 245/40-19
R: 275/35-19
They cost a fortune but are frequently recognized as the best all around performance tire you can get (very round and uniform) so hopefully I'll like 'em! So far they seem very smooth and quiet and the shop said they didn't need hardly any balance weights at all.
I've had Bridgestones (on stock 17" rims), Nittos (on 18s), Toyos (on 18s) and Dunlops (on 19s) on the GS so I figured I had to give Michelins a shot.

I've had the PS2's on for nearly a year and it is still as quiet now as it was when I first got em. Good choice in performance tires. I also have much more confidence on wet roads than before. Although I am not crazy to push it hard when it is wet out. My other tires were S-03's and the PS2's seem to grip more and have a much softer, more comfortable ride and quieter. The side walls on the Michellin are definitely softer than the Bridgestones.

Neo, thanks - 20K ought to last me 3 years so no worries on the wear.
HI98GS - S03's have a seriously reinforced sidewalls (they're pretty much like runflats) but yes, I think the PS2 sidewalls are softer than even the Dunlop SP9000's I had before but the bit of cornering I did seemed VERY grippy.
