Hey Mayur:

Check www.tirerack.com. There is a review section that customers rate characteristics such as ride, traction and sound. As I said, the RE 030 is junk, the RE 730 is a good tire. I'm running Nitto's and I love them. If quiet is a key, Yokohama Db may be a good choice.

Thumbs up

Go with toyo T1-S, you can lose. Though tirerack doesn't have a review for it. But trust me, Toyos are fantastic.

The toyo T1-S are a very popular choice up here (Toronto).

Excellent mayur - two points for being SPECIFIC.

Good treadwear and quieter probably indicates something like the Yoko dBs, or a Dunlop SP5000 - but bear in mind both will handle WORSE than the Bridgestones.

There is no free lunch on the trade-offs.

I have Bridgestone Tarunza Z Revo size 235/45/17. These are great. They are touring tires. They are smooth and quiet. I only have 5000 on my tires, so I'm not sure how long they will last. I rotate them every 5000 miles. The manufacturer say they will last 40000 miles. We'll see.

What ever happened with your bent rim(s) problem? How was it resolved?

Please post update on your tires- specifically regarding the noise and smoothness factors after driving them for a while. I'm also in the market for 17s. Thanks.

So far so good. I now have 20000 miles on the tires. There is plenty of tread left. Tires are still quiet and smooth. Like I said before, I have them rotated and balanced every 5000 miles.

Toyo FZ4 are good too! And cheaper than T1-S. Good call either way I am sure...
