Tire Size Question
Hi,
I have just one more question to ask. I have decided to go with 20 x 8.5 with the offset in the 30's all around on my GS. Can someone tell me the proper tire size I should buy for these. I just want the standard setup for 20's.
Any help will be appreciated.

You can either run 245/35/20 or 255/35/20. Those are the most common sizes I have seen.
If you do a search on the tires sizes you can defintely find more info on the topic.

hahhaa changing topic fast man ok first of all i am NOT 100% expert on LS (i am better off on gs, is, and sc430), but the size you provided here, i think they should be no problem for the ls400. i don't think they are on the aggressive side, and i think they should sit relatively good with the fender
i hope this helps, and i hope i am right too, lol

one more thing...
Just one more question.......
here is the actual specs of the rims i will be getting...
20x8.5, 5x114.3 bolt pattern, and 34mm offset all around
and if i buy 245/35/20 tires....
would this work on my GS without any fender mods or rubbing?
thanks in advance

and gs408 (you are in san jose?), i think with 245/35/20, you will be fine. but still close. overall diameter is larger so you might high the top of the wheel well when hitting dip (normal) and also rub when you make full lock turns. that's about it. you can bend the tabs at 11 and 2 oclock position as well just to be safe

The only mods I needed to do was a fender roll in the rear. I am pretty low all around...tokico blues suck ***!!!
The tire size I was running also contributed to the rubbing. An ideal tire size for these wheels on an LS400 would be 225 40 19 / 245 40 19, front / rear, respectively.

if we talk about the driver side wheel well, you can see there are two tabs in the fender well. one at 11 and one at 2oclock position. if you bend them up then you get more clearance
