Default HELP!!! (Wheels don't fit ) HELP!!!

My 20x8.5 chrome wheels with TOYO tires 245/35R20 came in friday, but after 3 hours of waiting they called and sad that wheels don't fit with those tires. I was at the beach so I coudn't see, I had my friend pic up my car.

Is it true that 20x8.5 is to big for the front.???
Is it the wheels or the tire?????????

PLEASE HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLP!!!!!!!

Well the 245/35/20 tires definately fit a 20x8.5 rim, not sure why they would say that? but as far as on your car like D said it has to be wrong offset or the lug pattern is wrong. Also a 20x8.5 will definately fit up front if its in the right offset and lug pattern for our cars.

If you say that 8.5 will fit what is the best offset.

+38 up to +44 is pretty perfect for our cars up front.

I just got off the phone with the garage and they said that 245/35R20 tire will have very little space for the trun or some stuff like that. So they ordered 225/35R20 tires.

Is 225/35R20 OKEY or NOT????

What do you have guys???????????????

Tell them don't order you anything else. They seem like they don't know what they're doing. I suggest you deal with of the vendors here that knows the lexus product inside and out, for an example, www.d2autosport.com which is based in CT.
To answer your question about the tire, no you shouldn't use a 225/35/20, these tires are produced for smaller cars to fit 20's. With these tires, you will be bending and cracking your wheels every two minutes.

Go straight to the shop and look for the offset number on the inner barrel of the wheels somewhere. Like blulex said, stay between the offsets he just gave. The 245 is perfect on an 8.5 wheel. I ran that setup on my old GS for years....perfect fit. If they are giving you a hard enough time, just tell them to mount the tires on the wheels, and either take them to another shop that knows their shiat, or just take them home and bolt them on yourself.

I just got the answer and the off set is 40 !

Anyone with 20x8.5 wheel 245/35R20 tires and 40 off set. Do you have any rubbing when turning or driving. (I still have stock suspention.)

the offset is ok, everything is fine....

the problem they talk about is that when you make full hard turns, the wheel will rub the front and back of wheel well a bit, nothing to worry about

If thats what they ordered and it doesnt fit, something doesnt sound right, maybe wrong bolt pattern or something. I dont know. Where did you buy the wheels from?

Werd. If this shop can't get a 20 x 8.5, +40 to fit, then they're a bunch of idiots. That should fit no problem. 245's up front is also a no brainer, it should fit perfect, even dropped low on coilovers. Toyos are a little bigger in profile than some other tires, but still, this should not be a problem at all.

I think they have the offset wrong. Go look for yourself. If it is wrong, then back out of the deal QUICK. Come back and have D2 get you a proper setup.

I just can't understand what these guys are talking about or doing at this shop. 85% of everyone on this site who has 20x8.5 front wheels has 245/35/20 tires. I ran that size for years slammed 2 inches and no problem. A +40 offset is actually a great offset right in the middle of where you want to be. Honestly I would just go to the shop and look at the wheel yourself. Good luck man.
