alright since no one is willing to help me on the 19" rim dimensions, would someone be so kind as to give me the correct offset for the IS300 on 19's. damn i wish is300.net were still up...my questions would be answered in minutes

The correct offset has less to do w/the diameter of the rim and more to do w/the width of the rim.

You need to tell board members what width rim you are planning to use.

The OEM offset is +50. An 8" width rim can use about a +44 offset and it will be flush w/the body panels.

thanks for the response...i'm gonna be getting 19x8.5 all the way around (what are the advantages of a larger rear wheel width? and what are optimal F and R widths for the lexus?) if u can please tell me the correct offset that i need...thank you

We also need to know if your car will be lowered and by how much. Lowering will definitely limit the maximum width you can get front and rear.

Generally, a stagger (wider wheels in back) will allow for better traction via a larger contact patch w/the drive wheels. The down side is that you cannot rotate the tires. Also, staggers are mostly beneficial in cars w/high hp (i.e. TT Supras, Vipers, Vettes etc.). Unless you car is going to have a lot of hp, you won't realize the full benefits of the stagger.

I'm looking into the correct offset for you.

If anyone else knows, I would appreciate any info on this.

well I would do a 44mm offset if you are going to go 19's that seems to be the offset that werks.. remember if you lower your car alot you might have to get your fenders rolled so you do not rub too much...

thanks for all the help guys ... sorry bout the repost i just made... but i think i'll be goin with 19x8 all the way around then from the looks of what u guys have been tellin me...but will this make the wheel look like its too "into" the car or does the offset have to do with that

The H&Rs will lower the car more than the stated 1.5". From my understanding, the drop will be closer to 2".

This may require doing fender mods.

Yes, the offset determines the clearance and position of the rim on the hub. You can't get too aggressive an offset because of the 19s you plan to use and the 8" width.
