Default Spacers????

Anyone got some inputs on wheels spacers?

My car is getting test fitted for a new set of BBK and they need an additional 5mm clearance in the front.

I know that 5mm isn't much, but I have never used spacers and wanted to see if some of you could give me some feed back!!!

Thanks!

That is what I needed when I just added my BBK and there seems to be no problems, I forget they are even there to be honest with you. I have the anodized H&R spacer so you can't really see them behind the wheel.

depends on what kind of wheels you have. if you have stock wheels, yes. for example on my hre, with the wheels on, i can only make couple of turns on the lug nuts (compared to 11 turns stock). with the 5mm you gotta be careful

so it's a wrong assumption to say that if it's 5mm then you are good to go with stock studs. nop, you need to take other things into consideration

With my iFORGED wheels I put the new studs in just to be sure.

I tried a 5mm spacer on my rear when I had my L-Tuned wheels and I lost about half, meaning I only had 5-6 lug rotations.. I took them off until I could get longer studs. I ended up getting new wheels so it became a moot point.

My point is that if you are going through the trouble of nice wheels and BBKs, I'd invest in good hubcentric spacers and longer studs.

see if you can get away with 3mm spacers. I'm runnning them on my SC4 to make my front wheels a little more flush and there were not that many turns with the 3mm.

Yup Neo you are correct, I was like should I try to leave the stock studs on and maybe make t safe or just put new studs in and have plenty of room. I chose to add the new studs.

Kics Project spacer's are really good too. they come with extended studs, and various mm's too.
