Default I'm a noob will these fit

I have question after looking at Rominl's guide I am still uncertain that the following wheels will fit.

The wheels are 18"x8.5" Offset 30 (Front) and 18"x10.5" Offset 43 (Rear) with 5x114.3 bolt pattern.

Can anyone give me any recommendations or advice?

Bolt pattern is right, wheel size is fine, rear offset is fine - but I am unsure about the front offset. I will let someone else answer that!

Front offset is low. You should wail and check with someone who has the EXACT same setup as you plan to run. What tires are you going to use? What is your suspension? I get the feeling that the front wheels will be set too far out in the fender and you may get some rubbing. I have 38mm with a 235 tire and it is pretty close. Yours will be 8mm closer and worse if you run a 245.

He could always get thinner tires and stretch them - plus tires that have a more rounder sidewall?

I think it sounds okay. He could always do a fender roll/pull.
Maybe a lil neg camber if needed

the rear is not fine. that's 10.5 +43, so that's 10 +37. you better shave off teh whole fender tab

Thanks guys for all of your comments. I was just trying to make this work since the wheels were SSR GT3's (and I love those wheels). But I'm not up for any cutting or fender rolling.

Based on the feedback I don't think I am going to move further on this one. Thanks for sparing me some cash.

What do you guys have to say about spacers? Will they damage my wheels in any way or are there any gotcha's to having them?

Are you asking a question unrelated to the wheels here because spacers are the last thing you need with the wheels posted above.

In general, spacers should be avoided IF POSSIBLE. If not, the rear is not so bad. The fronts should be avoided more IF POSSIBLE. For both front and rear, if it cannot be avoided, try to stay with hubcentric ones and if needed, make sure the lug studs are replaced with longer ones.

There are some benefits to spacers (fitment and handling due to the wider track) but it also changes the suspension geometry which will add stress to the suspension components.

18x8.5 +30 is too low for a GS? Maybe for girly-men...

Seriously, relative to the fender, this is the same as my old 20x9 +36
Run a 245/40-18, you'll be golden.
It's really only an issue with wheel/tire set-ups with a taller overall diameter, like 245/35-20

The rear is aggressive, but not as aggressive as my old 20x10.5 +41 set-up.
If you stretch the rear tire a bit and use a 275/30-19, you should be able to get away
with just removing the rear fender arch trim.

I think this would be killer on the GS. I would do it!

I don't see how this is the same. I understand your approach (.25" additional outboard flange=6.35mm) so the tire bead will be at the same location with respect to the fender, but in his case, his tread shoulder is going to be 6mm closer. Think about it. Regardless of rim width, offset dictates the centerline of the tire tread, and where that tread sits in the fenderwell.

Tread shoulder location on an 8.5 ET30 is not the same as if it was on an 9.0 ET36, assuming the same tire.

This is not to say he can't run an 8.5 ET30. I don't really know, but I'd have to say no.

Well as SoCal put it I guess I am a girly man

I have decided to get the following

AXIS Supermesh
Front 19x8.5 offset 40
Rear 19x9.5 offset 45

I am told that I will need a 5mm spacer for the rear (which was the reason I asked about spacers). Sorry that I wasn't clearer. I kinda changed my mind on the original rims I discussed after the first few replies.

So.... what do ya think about this setup?

Conservative but they will work just fine. Why do you need spacers in the rear? Just to push it out a little more?

so that's why my 20x8.5 +32 is rubbing in the front huh?

Is it rubbing on the top of the liner or the edge of the fender?

And Escobar, that setup sounds great, but like Neo said, I wouldn't recommend the rear spacer. Doesn't sound like you should need it.
