any tires out there that offer more protection for you rim?
i currently own a set of 19" moda R6's. i got a slight bend in one of my wheels. i thought that i had heard/read something in the past about some tires offer more protection for your wheel than others. i'm due to replace my tires soon. any feedback would help. thanks. oh, and btw, i currently have some kumho ecsta's on. these have been a great tire from a treadwear standpoint. because i don't have any suspension mods, it's difficult to say whether the handling is better/worse than the original 17" bridgestones that came with the car.

Toyo's have an extra rubber "lip" that protects the edge of the rim - they look meatier than most tires for this reason.
If you've bent one of your rims, you'll have to replace it as there is no fix (since you have 1 piece Modas).
Consider doing a "fat" setup - do a search and you'll find numerous threads and pics. It's basically upping the profile of the tire (eg: instead of 245/35/19's, use 245/40/19's).
