Default new front tires....

Right now my car is on stock wheels with michelin pilot ps2 rear tires at about 50-60 percent left thread and pirelli p6000s at 10-15 percent front tires on front... (welcome to understeer city!)

Sometime in may (provided i solve my little egr problem.) Im looking to buy new front tires, for no more then 180-200 both for both installed. (im already tied up rebuilding an s13.)

what do you guys think of the kumho ectsas supra 712s? Discounttiredirect has them advertiszed for about 78 dollars each for my stock size installed. IE running new 712s new with used michelin pilot sports ps2 rear? I want to keep this setup for at least a year or so.. (at least the stock wheels.)

Any other better suggestions for the same price?

My priorities comfort/value would be least important while performance/value most important.

I'm about to order some of those for my rear in a few weeks, as well as some new Kumho fronts that Tire Rack has on special right now. I say go for it

What is the exact size tire you need? If handling is important to you, I'd seriously consider making all 4 tires the same, not 2 & 2.

225/55/16s.

I wish i could make all 4 tires the same, but Im kinda in a budget for right now, and im not too happy with michelin sports as dry weather grip... or lack of it. (wet grip is awesome though!)

If your on a budget & want excellent dry & wet weather performance in a very good high performance tire, I'd consider the Falken Ziex ZE-512. You won't be disappointed. You just might find them for under $100 a tire!
