Selling the 20's, what size rubber 4 18's ???
Yes the 20's look great but the ride isn't to my liking too much. Gonna switch to 18's with thicker rubber. I wanna go with something like 245/45-18 front and 265-275/45-18 rear. This might make the rear tires slightly thicker but the overall outside diameter shouldn't be too much. Putting on some l tuned springs and shocks soon too.

You will probably want to go
front 235/18/40
rear 265/18/35
if you go wider in the rear 275 you might have to go to a 30 series but I am not 100% on that. I know for 19's in the rear you do.

Its a 30:-5 widthrofile ratio, so if you want a staggered setup with 245/45/18 up front then to even them out you go with 275/40/18. Those wheels will be almost perfectly similar in diameter and of course same height profile.
Basically it works like this, width in MM/ % of width/ size of wheel, just plug in the #s

The ideal size for a staggered 18s setup is 245/40 front and 275/35 rear. The outside diameter of this setup is the same as the OEM 16s with the 225/55 tires.
Since you had 20s and know about the rubbing issues that come with them, 245/45 and 275/40 would have the same issues. This will give you more rubber which will translate to a better ride while taking a bit of a hit in handling. At this size, the sidewalls are not as stiff as the low profile performance tires, and thus better ride, less handling. More rubber also gives the car a less aggressive look, but this is personal taste.
