A lot of people think that if you can clear the outside lip, you will be OK. That's not where the problem is. Try making a sharp U-Turn even with 21", you will hit the inner fender. Do you really wanna have to back up in the middle of the street just to be able to complete a U-turn?
If you lower the front enough to look decent, you will rub on the top inside of the fender well. I am not worried about rubbing the plastic, but if you look behind the plastic, you will see a thin blade of steel running across the width wheel well. Now think what happens when your front tire hits the upper inside fender when you hit a bump going 60+ mph while driving in the rain
We already deal with these exact same issues when we try to slam cars rolling on 20's, what more with 21+ ?
Anyone who has 21+ rims and want's it driveable will have to have the car up in order to have some inner fender clearance. Then the car will be higher than stock and you will have too much gap to look good IMO.
If you like that type of look and don't mind stepping up to get into to your GS, by all means go for it, but why not just get an SUV at that point?
I'm not even gonna talk about what a dog the car will be when trying to take off and please don't drive behind me cause if I need to hit the brakes using my AP Racing 6 pistons, you'll still be rolling another 30 feet past me before you can stop.
Show car fine, daily driver Uhhh.
Now go do the right thing.

Ridin on 22's is real big in Florida. I went down there 1 year for BCR in Daytona and damn near every type of car from Impala to Cadilac was ridin on 22's. Yes, they had the cars raised.

Rubbing the top of the wheel well will still happen though if the car is dropped anywhere close to zero fender gap I'd say.
