Default 235/30/19 or 245/30/19

i know they make them! but i can't find them!

i need to buy smaller tires up front for my SC because the ones that came on my 19" rims are too big.

what would you guys recommend for a 19x9 rim on an SC up front? i can't run the current 245/40/19 with a slam because i'm afraid of rubbing..

what tire size would you recommend for these 19s on an SC so I can work my slam without rubbing?

i've got the tein flex installed but would like to lower the coil some more
i can run my 245-40-19, but i can't lower as much as i want without rubbing
how low did you go with the 245 35 19?

im not too sure about the offset, no stamped on inside.. but i can approximate 42
they just come out to the fender.. right under the fender lip, not past the fender, not sunken.. but i need to roll the fronts.

thanks for the help.. and when you say "you've been there and done that", does that mean you aren't doing it anymore? did you sell your SC? or you were just saying? just curious, thx

I recommend you use 245/40/18 for the front and 255/40/18 for the rear. This is the best setup for your car, which you can still see the car and not just the rims. I've been lowering for many cars now so that's what i thought. However, if you intended using 19", you may cut the inner fender edge and paint that edge with black paint. Also, masking tape is a must around the edge from the outside to prevent miss spray and be careful not to make dents on the fenders' outside. That way, you can add about 1" more without rubbing the precious tires. These are what I did

Exclamation

If you run a 245/35/19 on a 9" wheel it should give a slight stretch that will allow clearance..Worst case scenario would be you might have to shave/roll front fenders a bit..

I cannot use your recommendation for my rims. You are giving my tire sizes for 18" rims.. I have 19" rims. And I cannot use 245/40/19.. b/c thats what i've got now and i'm rubbing.. I will probably end up getting 245/35/19, but would buy 245/30/19 if I could find them because I am going SLAM . I have 285/30/20 in the rear and just hat to shave the fender lip to make them fit.. and I can run my slam with no problem.. just the front needs smaller tires, and I haven't shaved the front lip yet since that is the only thing getting in the way.

Johnee78, yeah I will probably end up getting 245/35/19 for the front, since that seems to be lowest sidewall I can find. Also, I sent you a private message. Thanks

245/35/19 should be really good. By using 245, you shouldn't have any rubbing at all. I'm using 245/40/18 with body kit and I don't have any rubbing neither on front nor rear. It's just the front bumper is a little low & scratchy when pulling out of a deep driveway. Also, after carefully measuring, I'll be using 1/4" spacer for the front and 1/2" for the rear. These are really marginal but it should work since the fenders drop right outside of the tire's walls when going over dips or bumps. You can try it by putting some hundred pounds of weight on the front & rear to see how the fenders will touch your tires. You'll probably have a better image when the fenders are down. I hope these will help.
