I've just put on some SSR GT3 and wondering if the lips are clear coat or just polished.

i remember some owners telling me they are clear coated. i have never tried it myself though

If the lips are clear coated, can I just use Zaino Z-2 to make it shine?

yup, you can definitely do that if they are clear coated

i would suggest this actaully to make it even better
1) wash them clean
2) get some car polishing / rubbing compound (the one that you use for the car body) and polish the hell out of the clear coat
3) apply z2 and what not

you will be very happy

and a way to see if you have clear coat, get some metal polish, and use a cloth and apply some on the lip, scrub it for a while. see if you see the cloth turns black. if so, there is NO clear coat. if nothing happens, cloth still clean, you have clear coat
