Comparing GS430 & IS300 Rims on SC 300
Hey, right now I have some aftermarket 18"ers that came with the car, they are on 235/45/R18 tires. The tires have developed some bubbles and I need to replace them.
Here's my concern. I want stock lexus rims because I want the lower priced tire when it comes time to replace them (not $160+ after installation and balancing). I also want a little better ride quality. However with the GS and IS rims I know they aren't as wide as mine are now and I wanted to know how big of a deal this is, I think I read the IS rims are even slimmer than the GS's are
I've been looking at these 2 options:
17" GS430 17" on 235/45/R17 tires
17" Chrome IS300 on 215/45/R17
On the IS's is there overall less rubber from rim to top of tire, so the overall rotation is off compared to stock tires?
I've looked at pictures done lots of searching and research and these are the only questions I have left so if anybody can help me out that would be GREATLY appreciated.

yup the IS rims will seem to have less tire than the gs ones. about the speedo i think it's ok, the deviation isn't that much to create major difference imho
as for the choices, if you can, i would probably choose the gs4 wheels. the is3 stock wheels are very narrow imho, and the offset is very high, imho too high for the sc. the gs and the sc shares close offset fitment so that might be a better choice
